DAT BEN IK / THAT IS ME  - graduation short film ( 1996)

Steven, a young filmmaker is editing his film, a document about his parents' divorce. Across the street, where he rents a room, there is a bakery. In this bakery, there works a girl with whom Steven is secretly in love. While watching an interview with his mother, he comes to realise that he looks a lot like his father. Many of his father's traits he finds in himself. He does not want to end up like his parents. Quitting his room, he moves out to avoid facing his crush. But the girl from the bakery goes to see Steven himself.


Selected for several Filmfestivals in Belgium and abroad.

Won the TV2 award for best Belgian student short film.
